CROSS-CHEQUE for Windows
There has been a Windows version
of Lewis CROSS-CHEQUE since 1994.
From April 2000, we will be sending the 32-bit Windows version. This should work
fine on any 32-bit windows operating system: Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT4.
Existing users of the MS/DOS version of CROSS-CHEQUE can change to the Windows version.
There are
special reduced upgrade fees
.
The Windows version can use the data from the MS/DOS version. Both have the same
accounting functionality. This makes it very easy to go from DOS version to the
Windows version.
Existing MS/DOS users of CROSS-CHEQUE version 6 can request a Windows version on
trial. Contact
Custom-Made Software Pty Ltd
.
Some of the advantages of the Windows version over the MS/DOS version are:
-
Import data file from your bank file for Bank reconciliation.
-
You can use the mouse for navigation through the program. There is also a keyboard
alternative for each action.
-
A very nice feature is that numbers and dates can be entered using the Mouse.
The date entry also gives you an on-line calculator.
-
On-line Help.
-
Much better control of printers.
-
Much better backing-up and restoring facilities if data does not fit on one diskette.
