Tax Rates from 1 July 2006

Before you do the first pay run on or after 1 July 2006, enter into PAY-PACK the tax rates on the blue page. This was distributed with the June newsletter. It was sent to all PAY-PACK customers whose maintenance was up-to-date. It was mailed from Sydney on Tuesday 20 June 2006.

The procedure for entering these rates is quite simple. Typically it will take about five minutes to enter the new rates. Do not make any changes while you are still doing pays for the year ending 30 June 2006. Wait until you are just about to do your first pay run for the new financial year.

With these new tax rates, almost every employee will get a tax reduction. Typically the reduction will be $10 per week, but it will be higher for employees earning more than about $1400 per week.
